With a total installed capacity of 3.6 million tons, Turkey presently has 120 corrugating lines, 115 manufacturers, and 91 Class A and B corrugated board enterprises. The operating rate was 78.4% in 2021. 5.48 million square meters, or 2.82 million tons, were produced. Turkey leads the Middle East with an average capacity per corrugating line of 2,400 tons. 67 of the 120 corrugating lines are for widths between 1.6 and 1.8 meters, 43 are for widths between 2 and 2.2 meters, and 10 are for widths greater than 2.5 meters. 53.21% of total production is made up of 3-layer boards (CBE flutes are the most common type, while F flute production is continuously rising; in 2021, F flute board production capacity was nearly 20,000 tons); 43% is made up of 5-layer boards, and 3.8% is made up of 7-layer boards.
