When installation BOBST SP 106 E flat die cutter, it is critical to ensure safe operation, machine longevity, and production accuracy.
First, installation site meets all dimensional requirements, providing at least one meter of clearance on all sides for maintenance access and ventilation. The floor must be reinforced, level, and capable of supporting the machine's weight-approximately 18 tons-with a maximum allowable floor unevenness of no more than 0.5 mm per meter. Before positioning the machine,insure that the environmental conditions are within specifications: ambient temperature between 15°C and 35°C, relative humidity below 85%, and a dust-free atmosphere to prevent contamination of the feeder, stripping unit, and delivery systems. Electrical preparation is equally important.
The SP 106 E requires a three-phase power supply with stable voltage (typically 400V ±10%, 50/60 Hz) and adequate amperage. Install a dedicated circuit breaker and emergency power cutoff switch within easy reach of the operator station. Grounding must comply with local electrical codes to avoid static buildup or electrical faults. For compressed air, provide clean, dry, oil-free air at 6 to 8 bar with a flow rate of at least 500 liters per minute, and install a filter-regulator-lubricator unit close to the machine. During rigging and lifting, use only factory-specified lifting points and spreader bars to avoid damaging the frame, platen, or control cabinet. After mechanical leveling with precision spirit levels, bolt the machine securely to the floor using anti-vibration pads. Once positioned, perform a thorough alignment check of the feeder, die-cutting station, stripping unit, and delivery pile. Finally, conduct dry runs without tooling to verify that all safety interlocks, light curtains, and emergency stops function correctly. Only qualified BOBST-certified technicians should handle electrical connections, software calibration, and initial test runs. Failure to observe these precautions may result in voided warranties, safety hazards, or permanent machine damage.
