How to Use a Die Cutter Stacker with a Dongfang Bottom Printing Slotter

1. Checks Prior to Operation
Do a thorough inspection before you begin. Look for damaged wires, oil leaks, and loose fasteners. Check that all emergency stops and safety guards are operating properly. Verify the lubricant levels of all moving components, such as guide rails and gearboxes. Check die-cutting equipment for wear, slotting knives for sharpness, and printing cylinders for debris. Remove any remaining ink or dust from the printing devices, conveyor belts, and feeding table.
2. Configuration of the Machine
In order to make operator access easier, the Dongfang's "bottom printing" design places printing units beneath the board route. Make sure the flexographic printing plates are centered before mounting them onto the plate cylinders. Use the PLC and touchscreen controls to modify die-cutting tools and slotting knives in accordance with your box specifications. Adjust the feed roller pressure according to the thickness of the board; too little pressure results in sliding, while too much destroys the board. Depending on the intricacy of the task, choose the operation speed.
3. Manufacturing Process
Corrugated sheets are placed onto the Sun-style lead edge feeder by the feeder operator. The sheet passes through successive printing stations, each of which uses anilox rollers to transfer ink. Check the print quality for uneven distribution or smudging. The board goes through slotting units after printing, where creasing wheels create fold lines and rotary knives cut flaps. Sheets are redirected to the rotating die-cutting station for custom shapes, where the die cylinder stamps the shape.
4. Shutdown and Stacking
The auto stacker receives finished blanks and piles predetermined amounts (maximum height ~1600mm). Clean every unit completely after production to get rid of paper dirt and ink accumulation. To stop rust, lubricate moving parts once again. Keep a thorough log of every maintenance procedure.
